TBBREC Global Initiative for International Real Estate Investing

“Global real estate investors are flocking to the U.S.” — CNBC

“Four of the five cities with the highest number of foreign investors are in the U.S.” — 2014 survey of members of the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE)

Real estate investors are rushing to invest abroad. But many so-called absentee landlords are ill prepared to manage their investment properties overseas often leading to distressed properties and in worst cases contributing to urban blight.

The results can be devastating: lower property values; significant investment losses; negative impacts to local economy; and squalid living conditions for the tenants of rental real estate.

Theresa Bradley-Banta Real Estate Consultancy (TBBREC) is at the forefront of a global initiative to strengthen the ability of investors in foreign real estate to meet the demands of absentee ownership and to positively impact communities, local economic activity and the lives of those residing in rental real estate.

The goal of the TBBREC Global Initiative for International Real Estate Investing is to empower owners of foreign residential investment real estate in the U.S. to have a positive and lasting effect on their communities.

The Global Initiative supports collaboration with individuals, organizations and local governments in education, critical thinking and best practices for investors in foreign real estate.

Foreign Investors in the U.S.

In 2014 TBBREC established it’s Global Initiative for International Real Estate Investing to influence change in the world through investment programs and services with a far-reaching impact on individuals, families and communities. The inaugural year focus is on foreign buyers of U.S. residential investment properties.

According to AFIRE, the U.S. remains the most “stable and secure country for investment by a wide margin,” provides “the best opportunity for capital appreciation” and “leads the rankings for planned real estate acquisitions in 2014.”

The goal of the TBBREC Global Initiative for International Real Estate Investing is to inspire foreign investors to achieve distinction and eminence in U.S. investment markets.
